Also, he's, like, really into Sarah. Things heat up slowly, romance-wise, but, as ever, Ward (Consumed, 2018) brings on the big feels. John Matthew has an existential crisis, Murhder and Sarah know their relationship can't last, and even bonded mates are not immune to miscommunication. Readers new to the series will be absolutely lost, but BDB fans will appreciate this medical thriller and paranormal romance.
