Ireland to Canada the John McCleary story George McCleary
The story of the McCleary family flows from the lifetimes of Jane and her son, John, as they depart from their Irish homeland. The family history winds its way to present day Ontario in the County of Northumberland. Here the keen interest of George McCleary gave motivation to his desire to search out the family ancestors and retell their life stories. Years of persistent effort produced a mountain of collected research material. George came to the conclusion that the time had come to gather the family lifetimes into one published historical account.
